Portraits with a jacket was selected from a magazine named No.C. Why is this name? because it’s a magazine which has a name that changes with the letters of the alphabet, and each issue host to a different guest creator. And No.C is featured on Hussein Chalayan, it shows his fascination for transitional states such as travelling, anger, love ,growth, ageing, parenthood, meditation, loss. Or for aeroplanes, airports, transactional places. And it’s about how we perceive something when some senses are missing, about what we don’t see, the blind spots, the intangible elements, the different angel of the same object.

Portraits with a jacket, is about children who fantasize about a war or who have really lived through one.
